Bali isn’t just about sitting at beaches enjoying cocktails, there are so many activities one can do in Bali that allows you to meet locals, learn something new whilst enjoying a piece of the Balinese traditional culture.
Looking for things to do in Bali? Do you have a passion for getting crafty and learning something new? Enjoy a 3-hour course and have the opportunity to learn about Bali’s traditional mask making in the culture capital of Bali, Ubud. Perfect for singles, couples or the entire family. This is a must do in Bali as the activity allows you to get crafty whilst having fun!
Masks are used in nearly every culture on the planet. In Bali, the predominant Hindu religion makes use of masked human performers every day, and mask making is a viable career for a Balinese wood carver.
How often does one get the opportunity to carve a wood mask that one’s able to take home afterwards whilst experiencing Bali’s cultural traditions? Our expert carvers will guide you to creating your one-of-a-kind mask creation in just 3 hours of time. It’s fun, it’s educational and it’s art.
Children really enjoy the chance to make their own mask and our classes normally involve entire families spending time together creating their personalized masks for each person. Very often, well have individual family members exploring both mask making and wood carving simultaneously.
Our teachers are comfortable with all ages and all skill levels. And don’t forget, the fun isn’t over; these new carved wood creations will need to be painted once you’ve gotten home!
